Hello all! It has been sooooooo long since I have posted to this forum! Even through the span of her last album. I was curious for those who were able, or will be able to, pick up her new album what it sounds like? Electronic, acoustic, etc?
Thanks for your thoughts in advance! |

I am curious too. Do the tracks sound similar to the live tracks that Jules deliciously posted? _________________ Courage n. Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere and withstand danger, fear or difficulty. |

I third the curiosity!!! I won't be able to listen until the official release date of 2/25, but I am wondering what it sounds like...
Also if anyone wants to post the tracklist I wouldn't object |

The new album is amazing! Some epic, epic songs. The first time I listened, I thought it sounded closest to Stromata but now I feel like it's somewhere in between that and Dancing on Needles. Lots of BIG DRUMS, which I always love!
The EIU set was more stripped down in general, so I feel like the Chicago show was more similar to what the album sounds like, with more of the synthy stuff up front.
So far Gravity is my favorite of the new songs, for both live and on the album. Such a gorgeous track. _________________ www.lena-s.com |

Is Battle Cry indicative of the album or is it filled with the usual variety of hard/soft songs? |

Watching Jules' vids now..."Gravity" is a beautiful ballad a la "Sweet Chariot." But I love the piano/Virus riffs on "Science and Love!!" AHHH can't wait to hear it in Philly! |

"Science and Love" is wonderful! At first I was like "meh" and then I went "oh" and then "wow". CharMar has a habit of doing that with her songs. Don't hit 'em with the best part right away. |

I really miss songs like "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made." Great album, though. Got it yesterday, have listened to it about 20 times. =) _________________ "Happy people have no stories" —Therapy?

"12 Years" is a very interesting track with the electronic/ambient textures. It's also the only co-write with someone else. |

Oh yes I didn't realize that! Those 2 tracks do stand out from the rest with the ambient textures. |
