HELLO ALL!
greetings from me and tim outside Nightcat in Easton MD!
instantaneous update since there seems to be wifi on the street and so i have my laptop out in our car to take advantage of it allllll...
nightcat was a smaller venue but char definitely got some new fans from the locals. very cool venue, intimate and the sound was really good. a different energy from the last 2 nites...a mix of both the last 2 shows. here's the setlist:
is this called desire
under the gravel skies
in parentheses (what!?! tim: she effing rocked it out)
any minute now (new song! new song!)
stromata
crimson sky -> habit (this was GORGEOUS)
monster
silver honey (rocked)
obstacle 1 (jules: SQUEEEEEEEE!! she did it!)
the stalker song
the dance
tremble <3
beautiful life (for her dad)
great show. easton is cute. and the nightcat is a great little venue to see a show. try the crab dip.
great meet and greet as well. photos/video/maybe audio to follow.
see you all in nyc!

easton, md! it was such a cute little town. and nightcat was a cool little venue. the sound was really good in there. i should mention that ken doing sound on this tour was great...he made char sound even better than she usually does with the looping/echoing of vocals...very cool. highlights for me were 'obstacle 1' (yesssss), 'in parentheses', 'silver honey', 'crimson sky' into 'habit' was stunning.
anyway! here are some pics from the show...i would go back here.
matt duke opened for char on this tour...

Hooray!! Can't wait to see it all again.
Any chance you happened to get a video of Monster from Easton? I don't think I saw you taking one, but it never hurts to ask.
Crimson Sky into Habit was sooooo amazing. That moment when she segwayed into it, it was all I could do not to squeal. Parentheses, Silver Honey (go Tim!), Obstacle, Any Minute Now, Tremble (I have not been able to get this song out of my head!)... all highlights. (Okay, so that's almost the entire setlist...)
Stromata got more and more amazing on this tour each time she played it - that last verse is freaking phenomenal. And between Habit, Monster and Beautiful Life, I pretty much had tears throughout this show.
So when a friend on facebook said I was lucky that I was going to Easton and then everyone joked that that was probably the only time anyone has ever said that about Easton, I now have to say she was right. I was lucky. Amazing show.

no problem! and it definitely exists...and an audio exists. so after video is done, my goal is to have the audios on live archive. will probably need some help with that but...we'll get there.
sit tight! if there wasnt a time zone difference, you'd have 'silver honey' by now! haha! _________________ ...jules...

This was an interesting venue. It was a very small place, which created a wonderful intimate atmosphere -- almost like having Charlotte play in your living room Like I told Tim, the entire building from Easton would've fit onto the stage at Highline. As you can see in the photos, the stage was right in front of a window (Charlotte's back was to the window). All through her set, people were wandering past on the sidewalk outside, and many of them stopped and peered over her shoulder for awhile. They had no idea what they were missing! |

Monster, Obstacle 1, The Dance, Silver Honey a new song and capped off with Beautiful Life. Awesome setlist! I wonder how Under The Gravel Skies sounded acoustic?
And oh, Obstacle 1 was amazing! Thanks Jules! _________________ I'm bending until I break for you
