I encourage others to put their words in this thread -- I don't want to see me writing so much here. Putting your ideas and feeling in words is okay; we need to express ourselves more openly...

True love versus old love

When you don’t believe in true love
And you find true love
What do you do?
Tell me, what do you do?

When you smile inside (really laugh)
At those who claim true love
Knowing (well thinking you know)
That true love is just a pipe dream
Of those whose hormones are raging
For the newest one – the latest

Do you say goodbye to your comfortable love
And dive in
Into the sea
Not knowing what’s in the depth
Of the sea
Is there one answer
We all can know?

Leaving one for another
Is it courage?
Or is it folly?
Or is there something inside
That drives us to
Toward
Forward
Onward
To …

Cell Mates

Respect, authority, power
In one cell
Ravaged, taken, ruled
In another cell

You didn’t persevere
To be taken lightly
You didn’t dress to kill
To be not ravaged

Contrary?
Complementary?
Or cell mates
Doing time in you

Logical and organized
To your core
That’s what you are
In another cell
Raw Passion … in words & secret thoughts
That’s what you are

Spontaneity
Mixed with order
Both flashing
One now taking you
Next the other
Circling around
No pattern
Just there in-between
Your past and future

This woman

This is different
This woman
Normally, I am attracted first
Well, first by her façade
Later I gain interest in her rooms
Not this time… not for this woman

And God created woman…
“It is not good for man to be alone
I will make him…”
“And He made him a woman
And brought her to the man”

In the garden
Adam was alone
Animals surrounded him
Imagine his delight
On seeing her
The first time
Love at first sight
“The very sight of her”

Not this woman
It was as if God created her
And hid her form
And she spoke
Words dear to me
Bringing forth emotions
Locked away for so long
In the dungeons of my soul
“Love at first hearing…”
Then ... seeing --
This woman
This woman
This woman

[July 4th
Walter celebrates this woman]

Madam, if you’ll let me

Puritanical, you weren’t
Or so it seemed
Regimental, you were
Every pleasure had its time and place
A script that needed to be played
A program to be followed
An order not to be transgressed
A religion fixed to the very letter
Kisses never to vary
A certain order to everything
Timer by the bed
Holy books to follow
No passion to vary the script
Mapping your holy love life -- your passion

Madam, if you’ll let me
Let me take you
As a man takes a woman
To my place, my way
Where you will never be kissed the same way twice
Except when it suits me
Let me take you
And make you just what I want you to be
Let me mold your clay
Different each day
You’re a thousand women
All ready to pop out of the cake
Sometimes you’re chocolate
Sometimes angel food
Sometimes not

I whispered in her ear, “Spontaneity is okay”
Madam, if you’ll let me…
“Come this way.. follow me”

Treading
places
peices
of carpet
rolled
tounges
wagging
tails
of better days
faded
corner
lots
by rusted
drums surrounded
by green grass
shades crayons
drawing out lines
around bodies
lying in the sun
awaiting rays
soaking
water-deep
under
surfaces
shining
bright and hopeful
and very dark
suspicious
noises
from creaks
on tiles
on bathroom floors
you're trying to avoid
and shielding your eyes from the light
thats way too bright
when don't want to wake up.

hey there! inspired by some of the wordtrees here on the message board, I have written four wordtrees myself until now. I'll give it a go and hope you tell me your honest opinion about the following:

so you light the lamp
dear lamb
downward fire
funny flame
like a lighthouse
in the future
as sparks go by
my image
it flies
into the future
I’ve never seen light
and less
I seen gold
all papers scream now
but I’ll hide
inside
a ball
of light
a bull
of a flicker
and a ton
of quanta
future flight
outta the night
into the light
let me receive spite
and turn it into
lanterns
all over the place
spring haze
for some time of this day
let me settle
in a garland
of light

one
too many
licks
drink
too much
from
the always half full
glass
an ice cube
clinks
in
the empty glass
it
starts
to melts

isnt that just life sometimes.
