loveburns, if you think that pic is unoriginal you're going to love the cover. Maybe you should start doing her photoshots. Actually, the DoN photoshoot would fit much better (then T's pics) with this title - Night of Hunters.

I really, I do like it better then the first one, it's just so unnatural looking.

But the good news is, the music sounds interesting so far and there is rumor of a strings - best - of set for next year.

That pic is so ridiculous. Who is she trying to fool?

She is also full of emotion in person. Why does she want to continually look like a zombie??

Since this is a classical album her sitting at her piano would have been cool. Or like, in a forest at night or something.

Omg, combine those two ideas! A piano in a forest at night. Yesss.

She was SO BEAUTIFUL during the Scarlet era. I even loved the flowy curtain dress things.

Once Charlotte took advice from Tori (right?). Now I wish Char would give Tori some fresh advice.

Now the circle is complete. When Char left Tori she was but the learner, now she is the master. Laughing Laughing

Really, Char has filled the Tori void for me for the past few years. I mean, she's more then that but she's definitely filled the void.

Stunning. Carry's lyrics are so sad and honest.

Just listened to these on Facebook. Both are excellent! This album will be going into my writing playlist. Great stuff.

Very different for her, though. Of course, it's precisely what she said it would be, but fans hear what they want to hear, you know.

I'm really not sure what to make of the record - it's a chorus-free zone, a lot of the songs are LONG, and it's very much a classical record. I got a sent a review copy, but I might send it back as I'm just not sure I'm qualified to review it. I've listened to it three or four times now, and nothing is sticking in my mind. I like the tracks with Tash the best, I guess, their voices work well together.

Some reviewers don't like Tash's voice at all and don't like the nepotism. It leave a bad taste in the mouth.

I feel like I only come on here to talk about Tori, sorry. Without being in the SLAFC I'm out of the Char loop.

I have really been enjoying NoH and have also been enjoying her daughters voice very much. I love the back and forth especially. "The Chase" reminds me of "Runaway Bunny" which reminds me of Joanna Newsom's "Baby Birch". I feel so many connections between Joanna's music and Tori's now, which is making be happy.

With regards to using her daughter - we all know how badly Tori has wanted a child and her singing her her daughter probably is very very special to her. You can tell in interviews that she is VERY proud of her daughter and I think that is sweet. I understand why she put her on her album. I really don't believe it's a "Tori's Ego" thing.

And I'm happy to be reading mostly all good reviews from critics, that's a change for her.

For me it is one of her best because of the fantastic story telling and even more fantastic piano playing.

But the cover artwork still sucks, lol.

Stupid reviewers then. There is no such thing as nepotism when it comes to who plays on an album. That's absurd!

Anyway, I actually do not have this album yet. Just realized that the other day when I was on a Tori kick. No idea how I didn't manage to buy the damn thing, especially considering I added nearly 800 albums to my collection last year!

I did, however, finally find a copy of the China single the other day. =)
