I believe I have the same disc in a box someplace....weird...

EDIT: So I busted out the box and is this it?

If so I have two copies of it....both with a slightly different tracklisting (Raven and One Girl Army are swapped on one) Didn't even realize it was rare...not that I would ever sell my stuff but it's just odd I guess.

I also found some pretty funny stuff I forgot I had like these kinds of fliers, etc...

<3 Good times....

Thank you for those images. Makes me very very sentimental. Her first night at Cafe Du Nord she played an acoustic show with just her and a real piano. It was wonderful.

Yeah. We were in the same MA creative writing class last year and they select one student each year from our class to study at Iowa for a year.

That is great! Iowa City is a very neat city! Lots of great music venues and great book stores such as this one:

http://www.prairielights.com/

They have authors there quite often for readings.

As you are from NZ, do you know of Sophie Canade?

http://www.canade.org/

Her Mom and Dad came down there to see her awhile back, and they were very impressed with NZ !!!

Love Bic Runga also! Thanks! Very Happy

$76 is a lot of cash for a CD that's not complete. Plus, with only 4 feedbacks for the seller I'd be wary.

So, who is Kathy Ferr?

^ yeah i thought that as well. copies with the insert have sold for less. and i'm still wary it's even a "promo". can't really tell with the picture provided and unless it SAYS "for promotional use only" or something like that ... well ... i'm not entirely convinced. were promos made for the oga ep?

Sorry to see that. There will probably be some more popping up on E-Bay when people see how much that one sold for...????

While we're talking rarities, rumour has it that Test Drive Songs and In Parenthes won't be around much longer. So if you don't already have them, now's the time.

Did anyone else see this post by Mike awhile back?

So what do I have here?

I was at Necon, a writers conference, this past weekend and found this in a small record shop in Warren, Rhode Island. Just tucked away in a small box under a counter. Cost me $0.99.

Is this the EP? It's a CDR, with black-and-white card stock inserts. I was under the impression there was a real (i.e. not CDR) version out there, with color inserts and such. Or am I mistaken?

It's a promo copy of the EP. Hence the "advance copy" text.

Dude, I'm not that dumb! Haha. But I guess I could have worded it better. I guess I want to know if the EP was ever released as a real, glass mastered CD, not a CDR.

Wow 99 cents! Great find!

I had the tracks on my laptop, which crashed. Bummed about that.

I would say 99% no, there's no glass master version. I've just been and checked and mine is a CD-r too.

I would also imagine for the few copies of One Girl Army (the full album) there's no glass master either, just CD-r copies.

Bummer. Because that means that someday, there may be no working copies of this EP and the full-length out there, as CDRs have a shelf life. Hell, probably most already have issues playing.

I hate CDRs. Sad

I ripped my collection to MP3 already. That took a year! No way I'm ripping it to FLAC now! Haha.
